We Got Nominated!

I'm so excited that The Book Landers got nominated by Brianna from Brianna's Bookish Confession for the Liebster Award! The Liebster Award is basically given to recognize and support small blogs (less than 200 followers.)

The rules are simple:

1. You list 11 facts about yourself

Okay, without further ado, here are 11 (hopefully fun) facts about me:

1. I speak English, Chinese and have been taking Spanish for 5 years and Latin for 2 years

2. I am obsessed with Legend, written by Marie Lu

3. I play an instrument called the erhu (there's a pic of it below)

4. I am vegetarian

5. I am in high school

6. I love Linkin Park

7. I love to run...for food, from confusion, for books, from homework, for fun and from awkwardness :-P

8. I LOVE humor and funny stuff

9.  I discovered how to do hallway swimming today...it was fun!

10. I have a bad habit of breaking electronic...I'm on my 6th music playing device in 5 years

11. I love blobfish! They're so...funny looking :-P

1. Why did you start blogging?

I started blogging because I love reading and also knew that bloggers are an important platform for many indie authors out there. I feel good knowing I am supporting authors and connecting with other readers/

2. What is your favorite genre and why?

Ooh...can I list more than one? I love YA dystopian/sci-fi and steampunk books! I love the nonstop action and often very dynamic characters and drastic environments that take place in dystopian/sci-fi novels. As for steampunk, I simply adore the imagination that goes into creating those steam powered machinery and culture.

3. What’s your all time favorite trilogy/series?

Legend trilogy by Marie Lu! (though Harry Potter is a very close second)

4. If you could go on an island with 3 items and one fictional character, who and what would those things be?

The three items would be: My nook, a camera and a can of pineapples (love pineapples!) The fictional character would be Heromine Granger (because who doesn't want to see some extreme spell casting?)

5. Who’s your fictional boyfriend and best friend?

Boyfriend: Day from Legend

Best friend: Annabeth Chase from the Percy Jackson series

6. Your favorite world to be in?

Hmm...that's so hard! I guess I would have to chose the world of Harry Potter. I wish I could attend Hogwarts! Honestly, whenever Harry complains about homework, I'm like...you go to school in a castle!

7. What’s one book you absolutely hated, but everyone loved?
There are very few books that I absolutely loath but everyone else likes. But if I had to choose one, it might be the Divergent trilogy. I actually liked the first book, but not the second and haven't read the third yet.

8. What’s your favorite food?
Too many to list, lol...chocolate, mints, icecream, pineapple, clementines, baby carrots...

9. What’s your favorite movie?
All the Harry Potter movies <3 p="">

10. Vampires or werewolves?
Werewolves all the way!

11. What’s your favorite holiday?
Does summer vacation count as a holiday?
